Silk painting using seta colors

Silk anemone/ fabric paint on silk/ 12 x 12
I remain fascinated by textiles. I have experimented with patchwork, quilting, and thread painting. I started with traditional silk painting more than 20 years ago. I loved the vibrancy of the silk dyes but I disliked the "flatness" created by the resist lines. I have tried using soy milk, and sizing to work without lines. Today, I tried seta color paint and water soluble resist. In my hands, the resist is a little thin and drips. The paints mix fairly well. I think it is worth another try.
