This adorable puppy has lived a loved life. Once, he even flew across the country by himself to find his master. His tail is a tattered strip of worn, stroked velveteen. His right shoulder seam is open. He has two equally-loved rabbit sisters. I am lucky to be painting all of them as soon as I have a large enough board.
